Insurance temporary accommodation in London
When a home is damaged and a family needs somewhere to live while it is repaired, the accommodation has to be arranged quickly and it has to be somewhere they can actually live for weeks or months. A serviced apartment or house does that in a way a hotel cannot: a kitchen, separate bedrooms, a living room, and housekeeping, all included.
MCR London manages high quality apartments and houses in Knightsbridge, Mayfair, Belgravia, Marylebone, Paddington and Maida Vale, and we work with insurance providers, loss adjusters and claims handlers placing policyholders in alternative accommodation for a month or more.
Make an enquiryHow we work with insurers and adjusters
Short notice. We are used to being asked for a residence within days, and we will tell you immediately what is available and where.
One point of contact and one invoice. The claims handler deals with one person at MCR; the policyholder deals with the same person for the length of the stay. Invoicing is monthly to the insurer with utilities, council tax, internet and housekeeping included.
Flexible on duration. Repair timelines move. We can extend the stay where availability allows, or move the family to a comparable residence if needed.
Discreet, practical service. The policyholder is met at the residence, shown around, and given a direct line for anything they need.
Residences that suit families
Many insurance placements are families displaced from their own homes, so the residence needs to work as a home. Our Belgravia, Marylebone and Maida Vale residences in particular include two and three bedroom apartments and houses on quiet residential streets, with the space and calm a family needs while their own home is put right. Knightsbridge, Mayfair and Paddington residences are available where a more central location suits the policyholder.
Keeping policyholders near home
Where the damaged property is in or near prime central London, we can usually place the family within a short distance, so schools, work and daily life continue with as little disruption as possible.
Arrange an insurance placement
Send us the number of people, the expected duration, the area the family needs to be near, and any requirements such as ground floor access or a specific number of bedrooms. We will come back with options and availability the same day where we can.
For insurers and adjusters placing policyholders regularly, we can set up a standing arrangement so each placement takes one email.
